Identify the playset and the move
Provide the make, model, manual and photos of the whole playset, including attached swings or slides. State whether it is moving elsewhere in the yard or to another property. Disassembly, transport, reassembly and disposal of unwanted parts are separate items to confirm. The existing playset’s size does not establish how large each section will be when it is ready to move.
Review condition before committing to relocation
Rot, corrosion, split members and damaged connections may make a used playset difficult or unsuitable to reassemble. Missing model information and improvised previous repairs can also limit the plan. Playset repair and restoration should be discussed when defects need work beyond the move. Relocation should not preserve an unsafe condition simply because the playset was previously standing in the yard.
Check access at both locations
Gates, fences, slopes, stairs and the route for carrying larger components affect feasibility. The destination needs to accommodate the whole layout, its required operating clearances and the manufacturer’s site requirements. Tell us about buried services or planned ground work where relevant, without disturbing the site for photos. Site preparation, surface material and anchoring requirements need to be agreed separately from transportation.
Keep components and instructions together
The disassembly and reassembly plan follows the identified product, with hardware and parts kept associated with their locations. Damaged or missing components are reviewed before reuse, and replacements must be compatible. Modification to make a section fit through a gate is not assumed to be acceptable. Any change from the original layout needs a separate product-based review rather than an improvised arrangement at the destination.
Confirm the receiving setup
The final work includes the agreed assembly and connection checks, with remaining site or repair needs recorded. Manufacturer requirements for anchoring, surrounding space and surface conditions still apply after a move. The playset should remain out of use until the agreed setup and outstanding safety-related work are completed. A relocation does not provide a new product certification, universal safety guarantee or a substitute for ongoing owner checks.
